The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the National Black MBA Association’s Scholarship & Awards Affair represents the alignment between scholarship and achievement. This evening will proudly champion the advancement of education in our community and recognize the accomplishments of our members, corporations, and individuals who support our organization’s core values.

Each year, we offer scholarships to exemplary students who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, exceptional academic ability, and authentic community connections to support their educational goals.

The 2022 Member of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding, well-rounded, active member with an MBA, who exemplifies the mission of the NBMBAA® through fostering an environment for lifelong learning, commitment to the principles that build leadership, exemplifies a high standard of ethics personally, and organizationally, and development of future leaders within the organization and more broadly within the community.

The 2022 Emerging Leader of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding active member with professional business experience who has contributed above and beyond in their career by exemplifying the mission of the NBMBAA®. This individual pursues lifelong learning and a commitment to leading dually in their career and the community.

Community Champion Award 

The 2022 Community Champion Award recognizes an outstanding, active member who demonstrates servant leadership in their organization or the broader community; has high standard of ethics personally and organizationally; and, development of future leaders within the organization and more broadly within the community.

Entrepreneur of the Year

The 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding, active member who owns and leads a business that services and/or supports the enrichment of the Black community on a local or regional level; demonstrated visionary leadership within his/her organization or the broader community; high standard of ethics personally and organizationally; and, demonstrated creativity and innovation by providing innovative solutions in their field or the broader community.
