SF Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow Mentoring Program
We are recruiting committee members for the SF Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) Mentoring Program. The LOT Committee members will be responsible for helping the LOT Director plan and execute programming throughout the program’s six-month sessions.
The SF Black MBA Leaders of Tomorrow® (LOT ) Mentoring Program is a six-month leadership development program for high school students. The mission of the LOT program is to engage students in meaningful character and leadership experiences. We provide access to business professionals and resources to help the youth in our community in several aspects of their life, from choosing the right college and career to living their lives financially independently. This program gives students a competitive advantage.
Our LOT themes focus on Leadership, Financial Literacy, College Readiness, Career Preparation, and Life Skills. These themes encompass the necessary life and soft skills to guide young people to succeed in their future vocational, financial, and academic interests. Problem-solving, time management, self-confidence, positive attitude, and communication in individuals are essential skills that contribute to life-long success.
We will kick off the 2023 season in December with mentor and mentee informational sessions. If interested in being part of the committee, please get in touch with Kori Scott, LOT Director, at bayarealot@sfnbmbaa.org. We need members to help us deepen our reach of establishing the SF Black MBA LOT program as the premier program in Northern California. So please reach out to be part of this committee making a significant impact in students’ lives. To learn more about the program, visit http://sfnbmbaa.org/leaders-of-tomorrow.
